Film: Good Will Hunting

robin williams does a pretty good job.  so does matt damon.  ben affleck does decently.  the rest of the cast I don't know about.  why is this movie over two hours long?

I think they really had something and then, around the 90 minute mark things started to be melodrama sitcom without any of the entertainment or jokes.

did i learn about attachment disorder? what really did I take away from this film?  well, mat damon does propose eating caramels as a first date.

ok, and i learned about the fields medal.  cool, cool.

now its time to read roger ebert. ok, he made a good point about the parallel between the two professors and will hunting, trying to reconcile themselves.  but it was a bit of a spoiler and i'm not convinced he really believed it was worth 4 stars.  he even says the ending was completely predictable and that the beauty was in the small moments.  I still think something happened with this film, it must have been cut at the last minute, or ran into budget problems,  something.  It changes direction too radically and pointlessly.
